Beginner's Guide

Day-one priorities for JoJo: Golden Spirit — what to unlock first, your daily checklist, and where to spend your first Astrogems.

Nearly every mode ties back to Account Level, and since most levels also demand a story chapter clear, the single most efficient move is to keep chipping away at the main story in between whatever else you're doing.

Unlocks worth planning around

  • Lv.4 brings in Speedwagon Investigation (send characters on timed expeditions for materials) and Extreme Trial.
  • Lv.5 opens up the World Boss and Badges.
  • Lv.6 unlocks Bloody Battle, the Guild, Collectibles, Dramatic Scenes, and Arena — and since Arena defense pulls directly from your Team Builder setup, it's worth assembling one the moment you've got five characters worth using.
  • Lv.7 opens the Guild Boss co-op raid and Uncharted Journey, with Guild Training following once you're in a guild.
  • Lv.13 unlocks Double Clash and Spirit Realm — Spirit Realm being the power layer that picks up where character stars and skills leave off, fed by Double Clash, so push that mode as high as you can three-star.

Both Extreme Trial and Bloody Battle keep scaling with Account Level well beyond these milestones, especially Bloody Battle's ladder, which runs far past what your first few days will reach. Full details live in the Account Level guide.

The daily loop

Once everything above has unlocked, clear these in whatever order suits you — this becomes your everyday routine:

  • Daily Quest — pays Astrogems, Coin, and EXP just for touching other modes.
  • World Boss — up to 10 attempts a day, best score kept; drops Challenge Coin plus the materials that scale your main damage dealer's Stand.
  • Interview Trial — a brief solo gauntlet with a daily clear, paying skill and ascension materials.
  • Speedwagon Investigation — dispatch characters in the morning, collect resources and Collectible pieces once the timer's up, send them out again.
  • Extreme Trial — spend keys against a solo dungeon, as far as your Account Level lets you go.
  • Arena — a 5v5 auto-battle run off your Team Builder defense; wins pay Arena Token.
  • Double Clash — deploy two teams across two rounds per floor; best three-star run feeds Spirit Realm materials.
  • Guild Training — spend daily entries toward a stat pool the whole guild's characters benefit from.

The currencies you'll touch first

The Currencies guide has the complete list — here's what you'll be earning and spending right out of the gate:

  • Astrogem — premium currency, spent on pulls and paid packs.
  • Coin — the free currency behind nearly every upgrade.
  • Character shards — unique per character, banking toward re-pulling a duplicate.
  • Courage Essence / Courage Crystal — raise a character's own Level.
  • Ability Essence / Ability Crystal — raise the level of an equipped Ability.
  • Challenge Coin and Arena Token — mode-specific rewards from World Boss and Arena, each spent in their own store.

Where your first pulls should go

Put your starting Astrogems into the Standard Character banner before anything else. It never rotates out, every character on it is worth owning, and its pity system means even a long dry spell ends in a real choice, not nothing:

  • 60 pulls guarantees a random SSR.
  • 180 pulls unlocks a selector — pick any SSR from the pool.
  • 300 pulls opens a second selector for a further pick.

Standard Ability follows the same shape with one selector, at 150 pulls — worth pulling once you know which character you're building around, since Abilities push damage past a character's base kit.

Limited and Featured banners behave differently: their 60-pull guarantee hands over the specific featured SSR directly, no randomness involved. If there's one character you're saving for, a Featured banner's guarantee is the fastest sure route to them.

Next steps

  • Day-by-Day Progression — the actual calendar behind your first two weeks, since Lv.7+ is time-gated on top of the checklist.
  • Reroll Guide — which SSRs are worth chasing before settling on an account.
  • Redeem Codes — free currency in a couple of taps.
  • Tier List — character rankings, once we've formed them.
