Fighting Styles
The six Fighting Types in JoJo: Golden Spirit — Defense, Assault, Agility, Ranged, Special, and Support — and each one's always-on class passive.
Every character is assigned one of six Fighting Types on top of their personal kit, and each type comes with a passive that's active for free the whole fight.
The six passives
- Defense — 20% less damage taken during the opening 15 seconds of a battle.
- Assault — landing a basic attack while under 40% HP heals for 150% of Attack, capped at once every 10 seconds.
- Agility — starts the battle targeting the enemy's mirrored position, and picks up +5% Crit Rate for as long as no enemy currently has it targeted.
- Ranged — each tile of distance from its target adds 5% more damage.
- Special — a landed basic attack restores 20% of Max Energy, once every 30 seconds.
- Support — any ally who drops below 30% HP gets an immediate heal for 10% of their Max HP, capped at once every 10 seconds.
What all six share: the RUSH trigger
Regardless of type, every team unlocks the same reward for mixing styles: land Ultimates from three different Fighting Types close enough together and the whole team enters RUSH — +25% Final Damage plus an Energy burst for everyone, lasting 10 seconds. Energy & Cooldowns breaks down exactly how the timing window and the bonus itself work.
A roster that naturally spans three different types, instead of piling into one, is what actually makes RUSH something you can trigger — and re-trigger — across a longer fight.
